Leaders Like Yourself that would like to give back to our Community!
The Fire Department has several ways that you can give back to your community, without being a fire fighter entering a burning building! There are many positions that can augment our current professional and volunteer staff:
- Medical First Responders:
o Respond from your own home and start patient care prior to the arrival of the EMS and fire engine crews.
o ECA-Emergency Care Attendant certification.
o EMT-Emergency Medical Technician certification
o VFD offers training for certification to qualified and committed personnel.
How you and your community benefit: Faster response times by volunteers that live in your neighborhood. Time is of the essence one many medical emergencies.
· Emergency Operations Support:
o Station Logistics
o Auxiliary Support
Fire Department Positions:
o Water Tender Operators
o Total Fire Fighter Training
The Fire Department pays for all of your training. We encourage your support of our community. Our volunteer members support the services of our paid staff. Without the support of community Leaders like you we would not be able to support our neighbors as efficiently when they are in need. Our Department was able to help on all of the Labor Day fires in Travis County because we have the support of great community Leaders like you.
