Controlled Burns

To burn in the ESD 14 Fire District, you must 1st fill out burn permit (no cost). The Fire Department will come out and inspect your proposed site. We ask that you call us at 512-258-1114 at least 3 or 4 days before you want to burn. The purpose of this visit is help ensure that the residents understand the guidelines for burning in the District and to assist the resident in having a safe burn site.   After your permit is approved, you are required to confirm by phone with the Fire Department each day that you wish to burn.  This is to confirm that conditions are favorable for that particular day. Humidity, wind conditions, Red Flag Warnings and Ozone Action Days are items that are considered for daily burn / no burn determination.

Controlled burn rules and permit application are located in the Documents folder for your review. The fire fighters will bring these documents with them for your site visit.
