Our Mission

TO PRESERVE LIFE and PROPERTY

Ensuring and protecting the public's safety is our primary concern. The public's trust is vital to the successful operation of the Volente Fire Department. It is important that our department provides more than just emergency response. Our goal is to provide services that add value for our community.

Community Warning Siren
The Fire Department has re-purposed  our old fire fighter alerting siren to a Community Warning Siren. We will use the siren to alert the community about wildland fires that threaten the immediate area, severe inclement weather, such as tornado's and other significant events.
If you hear the siren, turn on your radio, TV, check your smart phone, PC for additional emergency information.  We will test the siren on the first Saturday of the month at NOON.

Effective Monday, 3/23/2020, the Department and District have minimized staffing in response to current events and the COVID-19 Pandemic.  In doing so, the skeleton staffing level will limit the District’s ability to respond to regular open records requests within the time directed by the Texas Public Information Act.  Accordingly, we will treat any open records requests received from 3/23/2020 until a return to a full administrative staffing levels as received on the date the District returns to normal staffing patterns. The offices are currently closed to the public, we are available via phone and email.
